2022 Walmart UCI Cyclo-Cross World Championships Offer Exciting Volunteer Opportunities

FAYETTEVILLE, ARK.(Nov. 22, 2021) – Individuals and groups looking for exciting volunteer work are invited to sign up to assist with the 2022 Walmart UCI Cyclo-cross World Championships coming in January, Experience Fayetteville announced Monday.

For only the second time in it’s 72-year existence, the cyclo-cross world championship races will be held on U.S. soil, making this event a historic volunteer opportunity. Some 300 cyclists representing 25 nations will be competing for UCI World Championship titles in Men and Women Elite, Men and Women Under 23, Men and Women Juniors, and Team Relay events – with the latter being included for the first time.

Volunteers will receive free admission on the day of their shift, a volunteer shirt, an official beanie hat, and lunch. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.

“This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for Fayetteville. We have a chance to show our city to a global audience, but it requires a tremendous volunteer effort to do so,” said Molly Rawn, CEO of Experience Fayetteville. “I want to make January’s event the best Cyclo-cross World Championships yet, but we cannot do that without your help. Please sign up to volunteer.”
